The fastest way to wreck an account is not a losing setup, but a position that is too large for the available drawdown buffer.
Rule of thumb: never risk more than 25% of remaining daily drawdown on a single trade.
Example: on a $100K account with 5% daily DD, a $1,250 max risk per trade gives room for four full-stop losses.
