Who We Are

ExTrading Platform (extrading-platform.com) is an independent financial research and broker-comparison portal headquartered in Singapore. We publish rigorously researched, data-driven reviews, broker comparisons, and educational resources to help retail traders, institutional desk managers, and financial advisors make informed decisions when selecting an online Forex or CFD broker.

We do not operate as a brokerage, we do not hold client funds, and we do not provide personalised investment advice. Every rating, ranking, and recommendation on this website is grounded in our proprietary multi-point evaluation framework, which is applied consistently across every broker we assess, regardless of any commercial relationship.

Important Risk Notice: Forex and CFD trading carries a high level of risk to your capital. Studies consistently indicate that between 70% and 80% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading leveraged products. You should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. This website does not guarantee profits, and nothing published herein constitutes financial advice. Please ensure you fully understand the risks involved before committing capital to any trading instrument.

Our Origin Story

ExTrading Platform was conceived in 2019 by a small group of former institutional trading professionals who grew frustrated with the lack of credible, conflict-free broker review content available to retail traders. Most review portals at the time were either thinly veiled promotional vehicles for brokers willing to pay for top placements, or they were operated by individuals with no verifiable trading or compliance background.

Recognising this gap in the market, our founding team — drawing from backgrounds in prime brokerage, regulatory compliance, quantitative research, and financial journalism — established ExTrading Platform with a singular mandate: to hold online brokers to the same standards of transparency, fairness, and regulatory accountability that institutional counterparties demand from one another.

Over the years, we have expanded our editorial team, broadened our geographic coverage to include brokers regulated across ASIC (Australia), FCA (United Kingdom), CySEC (Cyprus), MAS (Singapore), FSCA (South Africa), and numerous other Tier-1 and Tier-2 jurisdictions, and invested significantly in our proprietary testing infrastructure, which allows us to open live accounts, execute real trades, and stress-test withdrawal processes with genuine capital.

Today, ExTrading Platform is read by tens of thousands of traders and financial professionals each month across Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Our editorial independence remains our most valuable asset, and we defend it vigorously against commercial pressure.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is straightforward: to empower retail and professional traders worldwide with accurate, unbiased, and actionable broker intelligence — so that capital is never lost to avoidable regulatory failure, hidden fee structures, or predatory broker practices.

We believe the online trading industry functions better when traders are better informed. A well-educated trader who selects a properly regulated broker with transparent pricing is far less likely to fall victim to fraud, manipulation, or structural disadvantage than one who relies on headline marketing claims alone. Our platform exists to close that information asymmetry.

Our Core Values

  • Editorial Independence: No broker, affiliate network, or advertising partner can purchase a favourable rating or suppress a negative finding. Our scores are the product of methodology, not negotiation.
  • Transparency: We disclose our revenue model, our testing process, and our scoring criteria in full. Readers deserve to understand exactly how our conclusions are reached.
  • Accuracy Over Speed: We prioritise getting the facts right over being first. Every factual claim in a broker review is verified against primary sources — broker disclosures, regulatory registers, and direct account testing.
  • Risk-First Communication: We never glamorise trading or present it as a reliable income source. Risk disclosure is embedded throughout all our content, not buried in footnotes.
  • Continuous Improvement: The Forex and CFD landscape evolves constantly. We update broker profiles, scores, and regulatory status on a scheduled basis and whenever material changes occur.

Editorial Standards & Commercial Independence

ExTrading Platform generates revenue through affiliate referral arrangements and display advertising. When a reader clicks a broker link on our platform and subsequently opens a trading account, we may receive a referral commission from the broker. This commercial model is standard across independent financial publishing and allows us to sustain our research operation without charging readers subscription fees.

However, commercial relationships do not influence editorial scoring. Brokers are evaluated exclusively against our published Methodology criteria (see our Methodology page for full details). A broker with no affiliate relationship may score higher than one with which we have an active commercial agreement, and this is an expected and acceptable outcome. Our editorial team and our business development team operate independently, with clear structural separation to prevent conflicts of interest.

All editorial staff are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including personal trading accounts held at brokers under review, on an annual basis. Editors with declared conflicts are recused from scoring decisions on the relevant broker.

Leadership & Expert Team

Our editorial and research output is directed by a multidisciplinary team combining deep expertise in financial markets, regulatory law, quantitative analysis, and digital publishing. Each team member brings a minimum of eight years of verifiable industry experience to their role.

James R. Caldwell — Chief Financial Analyst & Co-Founder

James Caldwell brings over 17 years of experience spanning prime brokerage, proprietary trading, and sell-side derivatives strategy. After a decade at tier-one investment banks in London and Hong Kong, where he specialised in FX options structuring and interest rate derivatives, James transitioned to independent financial research in 2017. He co-founded ExTrading Platform to apply institutional-grade rigour to the retail broker review space. James holds a CFA charter and an MSc in Financial Engineering from Imperial College London. He oversees all quantitative scoring frameworks, execution quality assessments, and liquidity depth analyses published on the platform. He is a regular contributor to institutional FX research roundtables across the APAC region.

Priya Anand Mehta — Head of Broker Compliance & Regulatory Affairs

Priya Mehta is a qualified financial regulatory specialist with 14 years of experience in compliance, risk governance, and regulatory advisory roles across ASIC, FCA, and MAS-regulated environments. She previously served as a Senior Compliance Manager at a London-listed CFD broker before moving to the advisory and research sector. At ExTrading Platform, Priya leads all regulatory verification workflows, including primary-source checks against official regulatory registers, scrutiny of segregated client fund disclosures, negative balance protection provisions, and investor compensation scheme memberships. She holds an LLB in Law, a Diploma in Financial Compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Her work ensures that every regulatory claim in our broker reviews is accurate, current, and sourced directly from the relevant authority.

Marcus T. Osei — Lead Market Researcher & Broker Analyst

Marcus Osei has spent 11 years as a market researcher and trading systems analyst, with prior roles at a quantitative hedge fund in Singapore and a leading retail broker's product development division. His core expertise lies in the empirical analysis of broker execution quality: measuring slippage, requotes, order fill rates, and spread behaviour across different market conditions and account types. Marcus directs ExTrading Platform's live account testing programme, through which real trading capital is deployed at reviewed brokers to generate authentic execution data rather than relying on broker-supplied statistics alone. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the National University of Singapore and has completed advanced coursework in algorithmic trading and market microstructure. Marcus is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin Chinese, supporting the platform's multilingual research capability.

Sofia L. Harrington — Senior Financial Content Editor & E-E-A-T Strategist

Sofia Harrington is an accomplished financial journalist and digital content strategist with 12 years of experience covering global capital markets, retail trading, and fintech regulation for major financial publications and independent research platforms. She has held senior editorial positions at financial media groups operating across the UK, Australia, and Southeast Asia. At ExTrading Platform, Sofia is responsible for content quality assurance, editorial style governance, and ensuring that all published material meets the highest standards of factual accuracy, readability, and compliance with both regulatory communication guidelines and Google's E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) quality framework. Sofia holds a BA in English Literature and Economics from the University of Edinburgh and an MA in Financial Journalism from City, University of London.

David K. Yamamoto — Head of Technology & Data Infrastructure

David Yamamoto is a technology leader with 13 years of experience in financial data engineering, API integrations, and software architecture for trading and fintech applications. Prior to joining ExTrading Platform, he was Lead Software Architect at a Singapore-based trading technology firm where he designed low-latency market data pipelines and broker connectivity solutions for institutional clients. David oversees all technical infrastructure at ExTrading Platform, including the automated data ingestion systems that monitor broker trading conditions in near real-time, the platform's performance testing environment for trading application reviews (MT4, MT5, cTrader, and proprietary platforms), and the security and scalability of the publication platform itself. He holds a BEng in Computer Science from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and multiple cloud architecture certifications.

Careers — Join the ExTrading Platform Team

We are always seeking talented, principled professionals who are passionate about financial markets, regulatory transparency, and high-quality editorial publishing. ExTrading Platform offers a dynamic, intellectually stimulating work environment with the flexibility of a distributed team model, competitive compensation benchmarked against Singapore market rates, and the opportunity to contribute to a platform that genuinely improves outcomes for retail traders worldwide.

All applicants are expected to demonstrate integrity, intellectual rigour, and a genuine commitment to objective analysis. We do not hire individuals who have been subject to regulatory sanction or who have a demonstrable conflict of interest with any broker currently under active review.

Current openings are listed below. To apply, send your CV, a cover letter, and (where applicable) a writing sample or technical portfolio to careers@extrading-platform.com.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a financial research, brokerage, or trading-adjacent role.

  • Excellent written English; attention to detail is non-negotiable.

Trading Desk Operator & Platform Tester

Location: Singapore (On-Site) | Type: Full-Time | Department: Live Testing & Quality Assurance

Role Overview

This hands-on operational role sits at the heart of our live broker testing programme. The Trading Desk Operator is responsible for managing our portfolio of live testing accounts across dozens of brokers, executing standardised trade sequences to measure execution quality, processing deposits and withdrawals to assess operational reliability, and documenting findings in structured test reports that feed directly into our published broker scores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open, fund, and maintain live trading accounts at brokers assigned for review or re-evaluation.
  • Execute a standardised battery of trades — including market orders, limit orders, and stop-loss triggers — across specified instruments and record execution data including fill price, slippage, and confirmation latency.
  • Initiate and document deposit and withdrawal transactions, recording processing times, fees charged, and any friction encountered.
  • Test broker trading platforms (MetaTrader 4/5, cTrader, proprietary web and mobile applications) against a standardised feature and stability checklist.
  • Escalate anomalies, regulatory concerns, or potential misrepresentations to the Head of Compliance for further investigation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating trading accounts in a professional or semi-professional capacity.
  • Hands-on proficiency with MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 is mandatory; cTrader experience is a strong advantage.

Regulatory Compliance Officer

Location: Singapore (Hybrid) | Type: Full-Time | Department: Compliance & Legal

Role Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Officer supports our Head of Broker Compliance in maintaining the accuracy and currency of all regulatory information published across the ExTrading Platform portfolio. This includes ongoing monitoring of regulatory registers across more than 20 jurisdictions, verification of broker licensing claims, assessment of client protection provisions, and drafting of compliance-related content sections within broker reviews and site legal pages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct systematic primary-source verification of broker regulatory status across FCA, ASIC, CySEC, MAS, FSCA, DFSA, and other relevant registers on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.
  • Maintain and update the internal Broker Regulatory Status Database with documented evidence of each verification check.
  • Assess and summarise key client protection provisions: segregated fund status, negative balance protection, leverage caps, and investor compensation scheme membership.
  • Review and update legal content on the platform (Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use) to ensure ongoing GDPR, CCPA, and PDPA compliance.
  • Prepare internal compliance briefings on regulatory developments affecting the retail Forex and CFD sector.

Requirements

  • Degree in Law, Finance, or Compliance; CISI Diploma in Compliance or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial compliance, regulatory affairs, or legal advisory role.

  • Strong written communication skills for drafting compliance disclosures and internal policy documents.

Senior Financial Content Writer — Forex & CFD Specialist

Location: Remote (APAC or European time zones preferred) | Type: Full-Time or Senior Freelance | Department: Editorial

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced financial content writer who can produce authoritative, well-researched, SEO-optimised long-form content about Forex brokers, CFD trading, financial regulation, and retail trading strategy. The ideal candidate combines native-level English writing ability with a genuine working understanding of the trading instruments, market structures, and regulatory frameworks they are writing about. This is not a role for generalist content writers — depth of financial knowledge is a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write detailed broker review content (2,000–4,000 words) following ExTrading Platform's editorial and structural guidelines, incorporating data provided by the research team.
  • Produce educational articles, trading guides, and market explainers to expand the platform's informational content library.
  • Ensure all content incorporates appropriate risk disclosures and complies with financial communication standards applicable in key target markets.
  • Collaborate with the SEO Strategist to integrate target keywords naturally while maintaining the authoritative, institutional tone of the publication.
  • Incorporate editor feedback rapidly and meet publishing deadlines consistently.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience writing financial content in a professional editorial environment, with a demonstrable portfolio of published broker reviews, financial analysis articles, or trading guides.
  • Deep, demonstrable knowledge of Forex, CFD, and broader retail derivatives markets.
  • Native or near-native written English proficiency — US or UK English.
  • Familiarity with on-page SEO principles, content structuring for E-E-A-T, and financial regulatory communication requirements.
  • Ability to write with precision, objectivity, and appropriate caution around financial risk — never sensationalising trading returns.

SEO & Digital Growth Strategist

Location: Remote or Singapore (Hybrid) | Type: Full-Time | Department: Growth & Marketing

Role Overview

The SEO & Digital Growth Strategist will take ownership of ExTrading Platform's organic search performance, developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies that grow our visibility in competitive Forex and CFD-related search markets across multiple geographies. This is a senior individual-contributor role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on technical execution capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitive gap analyses across target markets (US, UK, APAC, Middle East) to identify high-intent search opportunities in the Forex and CFD niche.
  • Develop and manage the editorial content calendar in collaboration with the Head of Editorial, prioritising topics with the highest search demand and revenue potential.
  • Perform regular technical SEO audits to identify and resolve crawlability, indexability, Core Web Vitals, and structured data issues.
  • Build and manage a systematic link acquisition strategy targeting high-authority financial publications, trading forums, and educational platforms.
  • Monitor and report on organic search performance using Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and GA4, translating data into actionable editorial and technical recommendations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 2 years in the finance, fintech, or trading sector — a demonstrable track record of growing organic traffic in competitive financial verticals is essential.
  • Expert-level proficiency with SEO toolsets (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog).
  • Strong grasp of Google's E-E-A-T quality guidelines and their specific application to YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) content categories.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript rendering behaviour, and Core Web Vitals optimisation.
  • Data-driven decision-making mindset, with the ability to present performance insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Past performance of any broker, trading strategy, or financial instrument is not a reliable indicator of future results. Leverage can amplify both gains and losses and may result in the rapid loss of your entire invested capital. You should carefully consider whether trading leveraged products is appropriate for you in light of your financial situation, investment objectives, and level of experience. If you are uncertain, you should seek independent financial advice from a licensed professional in your jurisdiction before trading.

ExTrading Platform does not accept liability for any financial losses incurred as a result of using the information contained on this website.
